Pamela D. Garzone, PhD

Pamela D. Garzone is a respected pharmaceutical executive with a significant record of achievement in drug development and leadership, ascending to the C-suite. She has led teams successfully through the regulatory process, culminating in clearance of multiple INDs in different therapeutic areas and approval of registration dossiers. Pamela is valued as an authentic leader, providing inspiration and motivation, mediating conflict resolution and was chief influencer of executive management. She has interacted with health authorities (US, CHMP, PMDA, HC) for pre-IND meetings, EOP2 meetings, FDA advisory committees, and EMEA scientific advice meetings. Pamela is an invited speaker at international meetings and for prominent organizations as well as an author of peer-reviewed scientific articles. Recognized for her strategic, operational, regulatory and scientific leadership, she serves as advisor to executives, venture capitalists and non-profit research foundations engaged in healthcare. She has extensive experience helping boards and committees achieve aggressive goals and fulfill key objectives. Pamela is the co-chair of AIM-HI Women’s Venture Competition of the National Foundation for Cancer Research. Prior to her industry experience, she was an Assistant Professor, Pharmacy and Therapeutics at the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy. She earned a B.S. degree in Pharmacy from Purdue University and an M.S. in Pharmacy Practice from the University of Pittsburgh. She received her Ph.D. in Clinical Science from the University of Pittsburgh.
